to speak in front of public isn't common for other people. people who doesn't always talk in front of the audience will be nervous. many things must be consider to explain in front of the public. the good presentation will make audience enthusiasm in listening. below are do's and don'ts.
do speak clearly, slowly and at an appropriate level for your audience. they're probably not all from
the same specialty as you and use vocabulary that is appropriate for your audience. if you use new vocabulary, make sure you explain it and write it on the board. do make eye contact with all members of your audience. presentation is communication 1 direction between us with audience. so audience will be very bored once if we not able to communicate in interesting
do move around don't stuck in one place and do use hand gestures, hand gestures can help you say more in
less time, show what you mean without having to resort to visuals, signal your conviction
and confidence and add texture and dimension to your material and ideas. do allow the audience to ask questions at the end of your presentation.
don't read your presentation. you can use short notes,
but reading a presentation is unnatural. if you need to see your slides,
then look either at the overhead projector in front of
you or at the screen on the computer running your
presentation. it's not only rude to turn your back
on your audience, but it also means you're speaking
into the screen or the wall and making it hard for
them to hear you the last do remember to thank your audience and introduce the next speaker.
